Trackinno provides comprehensive tools for filtering information so that you can find the information you need quickly and easily. In this article we'll use the Asset list as an example, but the same principles apply to using the filters on the other lists, too.

You can search for information from lists in two ways: 1) entering a keyword to Quick filter field, or 2) using the Advanced filtering. The steps for using the advanced filtering are explained below.

Advanced filtering

  1. Click Advanced filtering button above the list.

  2. Select Property by which you want to filter the list and fill in the search parameters.

  3. Click Add filter.

You can remove the filter by clicking the x icon next to the filter. You can also make another search for the already filtered list.

Shortcuts

You can save searches to the Dashboard as shortcuts. This is a handy feature if you need to use the same filters often. The shortcut feature enables you to re-use your searches: just click the shortcut button and the readily filtered list opens.

In the image above, the list has filters that show assets that are in use in a specific location. The shortcut to this search can be created following the steps below.

  1. Click Add to shortcuts button.

  2. Fill in the shortcut's information.

  3. Click Save.

The created shortcut is added to the Dashboard, and you can open the filtered list by clicking the shortcut button.
