1. Logging into Trackinno mobile

2. Scanning QR/NFC tags

Trackinno mobile app uses QR/NFC tags for individualizing assets. With tags, asset information can be easily displayed on mobile devices, making managing information efficient and easy.

You can scan tags with Trackinno mobile apps QR-codes scanning button or mobile devices camera. You can read tags with NFC if your mobile device supports and has an NFC reading feature.

3. Creating and linking tags to new assets

Tags can be linked to existing assets or new assets. Typically asset list will be imported to the Trackinno system as a part of the deployment package and usually linking will be made to existing assets. It is also possible to create new assets during the linking.

A tag can be linked in the following way:

  1. Read the tag

  2. Choose either "New asset" or "Existing asset"

  3. When the existing asset or new asset has been created, the tag is linked to the asset

  4. Done! Next time when the tag is read, it will automatically open the linked asset

4. Asset check-out and check-in

In Trackinno mobile app assets can be checked out for usage which creates on-time information for the system where the asset is being used and what its status is.

You can check out assets in the following way:

  1. Read the tag

  2. Choose "Perform action" and from the opening menu "Check out "

  3. In the next display (see the picture) holder has a preselected user who has logged in, so if you are checking the asset out by yourself confirm the checkout by pressing "Check out"

  4. After this, you will be asked return date. This is optional but it is beneficial to estimate if you want to have a notification when the usage is due.

  5. Done!

Checking assets in works very similar way than check out:

  1. Read the tag

  2. Choose "Perform action" and from the opening menu "Check in"

  3. Choose a location where the asset will be returned. The location displays the default location if it has been defined.

  4. Done!

5. Performing tasks

With the Trackinno mobile app, you can perform tasks for the assets such as yearly checkups, calibrations or

  1. Read the tag

  2. Choose "Perform action" and from the opening, menu choose the task

  3. Fill the form

  4. Done!

Now the assets timeline and usage history show the information about the performed task. If it's a recurring task, the next task is scheduled automatically with the set frequency.

6. Assets other information: attachments, map, and usage history

You can get to assets information by reading the QR/NFC tag or through the asset list. From the asset menu, you can find assets important information such as usages, attachments, and comments.

  • Perform an action: By pressing the button you will find Check-out and Check-in features and other actions such as performing tasks.

  • Info: View and update asset information.

  • Comments: Add comments to the asset and view previous comments.

  • Attachments: Add attachments to the asset, for example, a picture.

  • Calendar: View the asset's usages and reservations in the calendar and make a new reservation to the asset.

  • Events: Browse assets timeline.

  • Map: See the asset's location on a map.
